One day new material Saturday session 15th June

Please contact for waiting list and/or autumn info.

Do you want inspiration, deadlines and a positive supportive atmosphere for the development of new stand-up? Do you have ideas that you sense have potential and would like to explore them and find the funny in? Each week, bring along material, work-in-progress or just talk us through ideas. Get detailed, practical and effective feedback from Chris and be part of a generous and creative group brainstorm to develop new ideas that we will develop through a range of stand-up improv and writing exercises.

This is an inspiring new material workshop for course graduates and gigging stand-ups. I've run these courses on and off over several years and people always get lots of new material and ideas from them. You can present any ideas and bits-and-pieces you have for practical feedback and there will be a range of stand-up improv and writing exercises to inspire ideas.

Threaded throughout will be lots of creative insights on working up stand-up material. At the end of each class a homework writing task will be set building on the work in the session. You will leave the course with new material, plenty of ideas and a clear sense of what to develop and how.

If you've done my 10 week stand-up course this is a chance to once again turn up every Monday night to the Coffee House and develop your stand-up. If you've done another course - or just started gigging on your own initiative - you're very welcome to come along and experience one of the best stand-up training programmes in the UK.
