If you're about to embark on writing a TV Sitcom or Comedy Drama script this is the place to start! Get going on the right footing with solid and funny foundations. With 52 minutes of video tuition including clips and behind-the-scenes footage from This Country, The IT Crowd, The Thick of It, Fawlty Towers, Raised by Wolves, you will: - Be clear what production style you are writing for and how this informs the writing style. - Drawing inspiration from real life. - Two key comedic tools: non-heroes and dramatic irony. - Comedic style. And it all ends with homework to get you going! I mentor writers and develop scripts with a TV comedy producer, teach sitcom writing at BBC Writers Room, British Library and Bath Spa University (and the above image of one of this year's uni shows being filmed in the TV studio.) * The content of this course was originally delivered live as part of the first session of my live and interactive "Sitcom/Comedy Drama Essential Tools" Zoom course.
